Three pieces of one system. offline is the machine, the second brain is what it knows, and Milo is who you talk to. Built on an Omarchy Linux laptop first, then carried to the PMD Mac.
How the three fit together
Each one has a single job and leans on the one beneath it. Milo never keeps its own copy of your notes, and offline never decides what you should do next.
offline
The computer, arranged around your work instead of around apps and windows.
What it is
A quiet layer on top of the operating system. It keeps a private record of what happens on the machine, organizes your work into workspaces, and makes every change something you can see and undo.
What it is for
So you never lose the thread. Come back after lunch or after a week, open a workspace, and everything for that job is where you left it: the files, the AI sessions, the timer, and what is waiting on you.

Where it stands today: the record, undo, the heat watch and the permission switches work on the laptop. Workspaces exist but do not yet carry their sessions and timer, and the map and record are not yet pointed at your real notes.

One place for everything you know. Ask it anything and it answers with where the answer came from.
What it is
Your notes, documents and project files, organized by who writes them: the work you author, the record the machine keeps, the pages generated from your notes, and copies mirrored from other drives.
What it is for
So nothing you have written is lost or repeated. It answers your questions, keeps a set of tidy pages up to date from your raw notes, and hands each AI session exactly the context it needs instead of letting it search the whole drive.
You chose the steel rack over the wire option on 3 September, because it passed the drop test and cut freight by a pallet per order.

Where it stands today: search with sources works, but on the laptop it is still pointed at the code folder instead of your notes. The Mac version could brief AI sessions; that part has not been brought over yet.
Milo
The assistant you talk to. It plans your day with you, one clear thing at a time, and does the work on the computer when you allow it.
What it is
A planner and a voice. Milo keeps one master list where every task serves a goal, picks the one thing to do now and says why, and listens for "Hey Milo" so you can plan and act without typing.
What it is for
So a full life never turns into a wall of tasks. Milo shows the smallest useful thing, adjusts when the day slips, narrows everything on a hard day, and never uses guilt, streaks or scores.

- One thing now, and whyMilo picks the next task, explains the choice, and offers three different alternatives if it is wrong.

Where it stands today: the goal-first list, the ranking and its reasons, the timer, "Hey Milo", the voice and the permission switches work. Not now, set times, proposals you approve, and the hard-day mode still need fixing.
